We spent a fun night with our Moorland friends at Olde Boston Bar and Grill. There were 15 of us as Joyce and Dick's daughter Kim and her family were with us. It is always great to see the changes and revisit people that you don't see for awhile.

Of course, when we came home we had to watch General Hospital and get our day of soaps. It is quite exciting right now because lots of climax in the different story lines. We also watched the finale of Dancing with the Stars. Go Iowa's own Shawn Johnson. That was amazing to see her win.

Looking forward to a day with a little less wind. We would so like to get the rest of our plants and put them in the ground.

I spent the morning weeding and planting in the back yard. It was starting to get pretty warm when I came in. I loved it. Great peace amongst the flowers and the weeds. I also did several loads of wash today. Not so much peace in dirty laundry.

I did manage to finish all of the quilting on the first doll blanket. I cut the borders and will try to pin them on before the weekend. Two blankets to go and 6 months to get them done. I think I can, I think I can, I know I can. Fran called today and she picked up our new machines. She will bring them on the weekend and show me some of these things that she learns at her quilting class on Friday. I will plan to take my classes the end of June. :)

We grilled our last Omaha steaks tonight. They were yummy and we had a delicious salad to eat with them.

I love the weather in spite of the wind. God is great.
Big news. I talked to HR and I have enough vested hours to get my discount for life. :)

I am so tired tonight. Up early, no nap and lots of things to do.(not that I did any of them) Work was busy and I did not get off until noon.

Enjoyed a little time on the deck this evening. It was finally a beautiful day. Tomorrow we will hopefully get a few errands run and pick up the rest of the cemetary flowers.

Ronnie went for the first time to Dr. Lincoln Wallace. He loved the whole experience. So different from the Webster City Medical Center. We ordered the release of his files in April and they were not there yet. Dr. Wallace said they would call and ask for them again.

Goodnight and God bless us all.

I am freezing. Wow I hope this is the end of the cold weather until next winter. We were forecast to get a frost last night but we lucked out and it only dipped to the upper 30's. This morning we awakened to a cold, cloudy, rainy morning. A perfect day for vegging out in the big chair with a blanket to cover me.

We went to Mass this morning and there was Father Lynn. Not too many more weekends to have him in our midst. We definitely appreciated him and told him so. After Mass we headed to Mineral City for a nice breakfast. When we walked in and Paul and Bev Kehoe were there and asked us to join them. What a nice visit we had. Great fun to visit with people that you don't get a chance to talk to very often.

We stopped at Drug Town and picked up more Memorial Day flowers. I think one more trip to Eddies and we will have all we need for the cemeteries. I still need to get flowers and vegetables for our yard and garden. Hopefully it will dry up enough soon to put things in the ground.

Almost completed a whole doll quilt yesterday including the quilting. I think I picked the easiest one to do first. I may try to make some to sell as Christmas gifts. I talked to Shirley Webb this morning and she loves to quilt also. Said we should get together sometime after I retire. She also suggested a little fishing. Maybe it would be fun.

Must be at work tomorrow at 4:30AM but I just checked and only 13 more work days.
