The brownies are made and the muffins are baked. Have to buy a few things at the grocery store and Target and then we are ready for those Omaha Buck's. We are heading to town around 3pm so we can get what we need and then stop at the funeral home for Don Fibiker.
Last night we went to a town meeting to listen to the candidates for mayor and council. We spoke to the clerk and she called this morning to say that they would finally come to work on our drain on Tuesday, October 20. Hope they show as I would like to have this done before spring.
We are enjoying the fruits of our labor after many working years. This is a daily, weekly or "whatever and whenever it happens" blog to share what we are doing, or have done, at any part time or date.

What a fantastic experience I just had. I attended a quilt retreat for 2 1/2 days and it was great fun. Of course, it was made even better because Fran and Joyce were with me. We made great roommates and table mates. I learned so much from everyone and I also met a lot of great people. I must included the total enjoyment of my upper body massage. Loved everything about that too. I am now home and still wanting to quilt. Getting back in the groove of daily life will take a day or two. Looking forward to a visit from Dan and the kids this weekend. We will miss D'Lynn as she is going on her girls weekend. Hope it gives here lots of the warm fuzzies that I am feeling.

Quilt Retreat at Lake Panorama
Monday, October 12, 2009
The day is here. I am leaving for the quilt retreat in about 20 minutes. Joyce and I are riding together and Fran is coming from the south. We are all excited to learn some new things, spend time together and meet new people. We did get a skift of snow over night but not enough to do any harm. Look for pictures from Lake Panorama.
