Visitors from Indiana
Ronnie's cousin, Karlene, and her husband, Gene, arrived from Indiana on Sunday night. They traveled back to Iowa for the first time in 12 years. We were happy to have an overnight visit from them.

A Quick Trip to Gladstone
This past few weeks our brother in law, Jim, made several trips to the hospital and so Ronnie and I decided it was time to go check out what is happening. While we were there he was released and feeling a little better.
Ronnie, Fran and I did a little geocaching. Fran and I did a little shopping and played several games and had some great laughs. It was good to see them and we are hoping that Jim feels better real soon.
Here is a shot of 3 crazy cachers.

Visits from our grandchildren
The last month we have been spending our summer time with the grandchildren. Will was here for his week, Annie came for a few days, there was the Besch Blast, Sam had his week and this week we will spend with Katie and Isabel. There was a lot of hot afternoon game playing and during Will's visit we had some games of Aggravation and several games of War. I will only say about that " I won once". I am not sure how you can loose War that many times but I sure did.
This was Anna's second trip here this summer. It was so hot and there were a few games played but she loves her IPod and her Facetime. So cute and so big!
Last week, Sam and I played so many games of Aggravation and the winning was up and down so we decided to keep track. In the last two days he won 17 games and I won 16. He is convinced if he sings and dances and asks for his number he will get it. I laughed so hard at him. He is a wild and crazy one.
Our summer has been such a great time thanks to all of the attention that we got from our family. Here comes Fall.

The Besch Blast 2012
We just spent 4 wonderful days at Lake Benton, MN with aunts and uncles and cousins and some of the members of our immediate family. We enjoyed boat rides thanks to cousin Steve Besch and Jim Tharp. There were many card games and Father Russ taught me a lot about Euchre. Some played volleyball and bean bag toss. There was a campfire and everyone who knew how to play guitar (Dan, Ron, Joe, Paul, Steve, Dave and Ruth)took a turn while all of the others joined the singing. There was lots of great foods and even better conversation and of course, "We celebrated Mass, a tradition that will not pass". So much love among so many people was given freely and sincerely.
Thanks especially to Mary Jane, Father Russ and Cathy for the conversation about our past. It makes a few things clearer in my mind and hopefully in yours.
