Is it hot enough for you?

The last week has brought what seems to be endless days of heat. We have spent a lot of time in the house enjoying the air conditioning that we are blest to have.  The sun was shining on the back of the house when I took this picture but it is typical of what we have been seeing.

Thanks to Ronnie and his faithful watering, our planted pots are looking pretty good. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Summer Caching 2012

Ronnie and I have been able to get in a few days of geocaching this summer. The days are a little warm now so we are sitting in our air conditioned home and thinking about a couple of fun days.

This was our 800th find north of Pomeroy, Iowa.

We actually found ourselves at a flash mob while we were in LaVista.

Summer Fun 2012

We have spent a lot of time traveling between Moorland, La Vista and Waukee this summer. We have been having a great time with the children and grandchildren. Hope they don't get tired of us. The family was home for the annual Memorial Day trek to visit the cemeteries of our deceased family and friends. When we stopped in Wesley, the girls found some fun to be had.

We traveled to LaVista a couple of of weeks ago and got to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo with all of our grandchildren and Cindy. We had such a great day and such beautiful weather.

We also got to see a few summer baseball games for Will and Sam.

While we were visiting Grandpa actually took Joe to get his drivers license.

These young people are growing so quickly. I am not sure how this happened but we are loving every minute of it and happy to be able to participate in some of it. Thanks to our kids for this great gift.
