A Nice Day

Last Sunday was such a beautiful day (75 degrees) that Mary/Mom/Grandma and I decided it was the perfect time to launch our first geocaching venture down here. After a little breakfast (we had went to church on Saturday afternoon with Ron and Georgie), we dug out the geo bag and headed east toward Donna.
Our receiver said there was a cache in a mobile home park just 1 ½ mile from us. Found it immediately as it was sitting near a bench in the owner’s front yard. From there we headed west and within a couple of miles along Business 83 highway we scored twice, a micro and a small plastic food storage container. We dropped one travel bug that Dan had sent with us, and picked up one travel bug(TB) plus a nice geocoin from Massachusetts.
The TB had a Lowes #48 (Jimmy Johnson) car as it’s hitchhiker. We’re going to bring it home and drop it in either Iowa or Nebraska. It’s mission is to visit every state in the U.S. and “take a photo in your favorite aisle of Lowe’s Home Improvement store..........”.
I hope everyone is persevering in the cold, nasty Midwest winter weather. Miss you all. Squeezes!
