Big day at the Buck household. It rained and rained and rained. We also spent the day emptying and cleaning a couple of drawers and a cupboard in the kitchen. I wish when you do things like that it would be possible to keep it that way. Of course, that is not how it is. Here is something that freaked me out - I ironed all of my dish towels. I said to Ronnie if the girls could see me they would say "She doesn't have enough to do!" Actually I remembered how much I enjoy ironing. We put up the ironing board in front of the sliding glass door and I watched the rain, the leaves falling and the progression of another fall day. God is great.

Tomorrow I am meeting friends at Applebees for lunch. Should be a great time.

New Tote

This one was quick and easy. It is made from two dish towels and two handles that I bought. It probably took under a half hour to make. I love it. I made it while we were at the quilt retreat.

This is turning out to be a busy week. Ronnie has both cars washed and looking fantastic. The hole in our front and side yard is filled in and we will wait until spring when it settles to level it off. Kind of reminds me of our first spring in this house. MUDDY

I cleaned the pantry and did the annual throw it away if it is outdated thing. I also painted the west wall in the pantry. It was never painted before. Big job - well over 6 hours. My back says quit for the day.

I have a casserole in the oven and we are just relaxing for a bit. It was another beautiful day weather wise. Love it.

They're here

A big surprise arrived this afternoon.

The other invasion is the return of the Asian Beetle. Yuk I do not like them. Now I will be looking for a freeze.

The weekend is over and we had a great time. Dan and our Omaha grandchildren arrived on Friday night to a big batch of spaghetti and cheese/garlic bread followed by brownies. Then a night of visiting.

Saturday morning we were up and had breakfast and off to find a cache. We found one at the fort museum and then Dan treated us all to lunch at Taco Tico. Next came a shopping trip to Target. The kids showed me a few Christmas ideas and then Anna and I took off for a baby shower. The men spent the time geocaching and we met up again at Target after the shower and got a couple more caches before heading to church at Corpus Christi. We ended up with frozen pizza and grapes for dinner. Of course, there were the usual root beer floats.

Sunday morning we said good bye to our family as they headed for home. Ron and I went to the funeral home for Melvin Chalstrom's wake. We spent the evening catching up on dvr television shows. We will never catch up.
