Yummy Lunch

I went to Lefti's in Fort Dodge today to meet some of my Target friends for lunch. I had a delicious shrimp poboy sandwich. I also enjoyed the company of some of the friends that I have missed through the winter.
It is windy and a little chilly here today but I think I was ready to come home as all feels right here.

We Are Back in Iowa

After a long trip through Texas with lots and lots of traffic and road construction through Austin and Fort Worth we made it. The next morning we headed to Omaha and ran into ice pellets and snow in Kansas. We were beginning to think we made a big mistake coming home so early.
We arrived in Omaha on Friday evening and enjoyed a fish fry at St. Geralds with our Omaha Buck family. Great fun and wonderful to see them all. The trip was worth it.
On Saturday morning, the Carlson family arrived and there was more excitement. Little Katie almost squeezed my neck off. It was good to see them again.
Sunday was Anna's big day. Following a great brunch we headed to church to see her make her first holy communion. She was beautiful.

Sunday evening Anna and her parents and grandparents went to dinner at a restaurant, Brother Sebastion's. I am sure she felt like a princess and she is you know. The food was great as was the service and company.
Monday we went to Mass at the St. Geralds school and then a little breakfast. When D'Lynn came home she and I went shopping and the guys did a bit of geocaching. It was great fun.
Tuesday morning we came home. Since that time we have unpacked, filled the cupboards, called and talked to a few friends and we are now catching up on the laundry.
