We are enjoying the fruits of our labor after many working years. This is a daily, weekly or "whatever and whenever it happens" blog to share what we are doing, or have done, at any part time or date.

I am pro life
One very certain in my life is the fact that I am pro life. I believe that all things stem from life. I know that God loves life and he loves all of us. I continue to pray for stronger moral values. The news about the death of George Tiller is very upsetting and certainly has all of us thinking. I know that abortion is murder but so is the killing of Mr. Tiller. I pray for his soul. Rain and quilting :)
It is a rainy Saturday and so a good excuse to try out that new sewing machine and see what I can do. I had pinned the two remaining doll quilts on the way to Craig and Cindy's last weekend so this morning I was able to get the rows together on one of them. I also put the border on the first one. We are going to Dan and D'Lynn's this weekend to see Anna's dance recital and Will's baseball game. I am hoping to do a little hand sewing as we travel.
Ronnie is touching up a few places in the newly painted bathroom. He also sanded, stained, and varnished the door for the laundry chute. He still has the ceiling to paint yet. When it's finished we will move on to another room.

I was able to move most of my perennials this week. All that I have left are a few columbine and the annuals to set in. Every time I go out there are a few more weeds so they have to be taken care of first. The peonies are in full bloom and the clematis is started. I love how things look in the spring.
Ronnie used the weed eater to take the weeds down in the garden and clean off the perennial beds. He also mowed and used the weed eater all over the lawn. It looks fantastic. Bad news - the weed eater broke.
Went to Ethan Bubek's wedding last night. It was very beautiful. Was tired and did not really want to go but was so glad I did as he introduced me to his new bride as his second Mom.
Picked up lots of boxes for the Carlson's at work yesterday. My little PT is jammed full. I have to clean it out before I can go anywhere. I am going to try to do that today also.
Thinking of family and friends and wondering what joyful things are happening in their lives.
God is so good to us.

I can count on one hand.
When I came home from work today I told Ron that I just have 5 more days of work. He said "you can count that on one hand".
We have had a fun week starting with Cindy's birthday on Saturday We celebrated by going out to dinner at Legends. Great food and even better company. Just before dinner Cindy called to say that they had an offer on their house. Looks like they will be moving into a bigger and newer house in the next few weeks. :)
Izzie's baptism on Sunday. She was such a good baby. Izzie seems to be making up to all of us now. I guess she is finally arriving.
Looking forward to having tomorrow off and getting a few things done outside. Praying there will be no rain. We are meeting the Naeve's for brunch at the Village Inn. I would also like to get another quilt sewed together so I can work on it on the way to Omaha Sunday. It is the weekend of Anna's dance recital. Monday night we will stay for Will's baseball game.
