Today was a rainy day in Texas, which is what they need here.. Ron and I decided to get out of the house and go to Target to pick up a couple of things and to go to the post office to mail some valentines home. We did the post office thing first and then Ronnie turned in a direction that I was not expecting. We, of course, were going to pick up a cache.
He told me it was an easy one so we got out of the car in the mud and the mist. Did I say I did my hair before we left home? Sure enough when I checked the difficulty was a 3 but we had started and once that happens I cannot turn back.
While we were looking I noticed a couple of guys by a semi truck but they did not seem to be paying much attention to us. A little later I looked back and they were kind of checking us out from around the front of truck. I decided to walk over and tell them what we were doing? They did not seem to know what it was but they smiled anyway ----- that is when the police car came.
They must have called the police because we we had been there for awhile. Just at that time we found the cache. We walked over to the police car and told him what we were doing. He said there are a lot of people in the valley who cache and he wondered if we would like a hint to find another one. TOO FUNNY...
About that time another police car drove up and the first one explained everything to him. They waved as we drove away. We are such suspicious looking people so I can sure understand all of the fuss. LOL
We are enjoying the fruits of our labor after many working years. This is a daily, weekly or "whatever and whenever it happens" blog to share what we are doing, or have done, at any part time or date.

The Celebrating Continues.
I know it has been a really long time since I actually paid attention to this blog but now is the time. We are in Texas and have been here since the end of December. Life is good and we are enjoying the warm weather and sunshine but missing our family in Iowa.

After we got everything unpacked and organized ...... well, mostly organized ...... we took a little break on the deck with a bottle of Mimosa. Taken January 5th
Our next door friends, the Hock's, have sold their winter home and will head back to Iowa in a few days. We will certainly miss them and all of the fun we have had with them these last 6 years. It is our plan to visit them back in Iowa. Hopefully we all follow through with that one.
Last Friday we attended a geocaching event at a Whataburger in Edinburg. We met several other winter Texans who enjoy this hobby also. We are looking forward to getting together with them again on the 18th of February at a restaurant in Mission.
