This was probably what I thought was one of the most uneventful days since I retired. We both were pretty laid back and did not start any big projects.
Toward evening I decided to start dinner and as I looked out I saw my husband with an old tee shirt over his head. Imagine my thoughts. I went out side and found out he was squirting a mass of bees. You would think I would tell him to leave them alone and come in side, right? Oh no, I said "I need to get a picture. I will be right back." Here they are.

A mix of dish soap and water can
really make a nest of bees angry!

The week is going quickly. Monday I finished cleaning the shed and Ronnie did a little painting around the outside of the sheds and house. I baked banana nut muffins. Tuesday morning we invited the Silvey's for coffee and muffins. We had a great visit and the morning went by so fast. Just before lunch Diane Ferrin came by with a petition to run for town council. She filled us in on what is happening with the town and hopefully with the drainage system.

Today Ron fixed the corner of the fence near the potting shed and got all of the trim on that side painted. I cleaned the drawers in our bedroom. We are busy but glad that we are able to do it.

My friend Tina called and I am going to have lunch at the Sports Page on Friday with a couple of Target friends. That reminds me - my first pension check came on the 1st of September.

Life is good. God is great.

Mass at 10AM on Sunday morning followed by breakfast at Olde Boston. We both had the buffet. I always think I will get the omelet but I always stick with my cinnamon roll. After breakfast we picked up a quick cache at RF Memorial Park in Fort Dodge. Fun little nano. It was so easy that we thought we would grab another one on our way to Target and HyVee. Oh my goodness, I got into a patch of the stickiest weeds and they were all over my butt and my sweater. They did not come off easily and so I stayed out of the area while trying to pick them off of myself. Ronnie forged in and sure enough got a small cut on his finger and then got blood on the back of his shirt. We finally decided that it was not worth it today. In the end we had to come home and clean up his shirt, my pants and sweater. What a mess. Go ahead and picture the event. OUTRAGEOUS!! Once we were cleaned up we headed back to town to go to Target and HyVee for a weekly food run.

Last night we watched Big Brother. Things are getting tense there. Hoping Jeff can pull it off.

Today Ronnie is busy outside and I have been doing a little bookwork and made some banana muffins. Yummy.

It is certainly feeling and smelling and tasting and looking like fall. Thanks for the tomatoes Fran and Jim.
