Are you kidding me?  This is ridiculous.  I would say we have 6 inches already and it is still coming down.  Someone do something, please!

Aunt Dorothy Fuoss

I lost my Aunt Dorothy this week and I know that I will miss her for years to come.  She was such a special lady and is the reason that I became interested in quilting.  Her stitches were perfect and she quilted everything by hand.  Maybe that is why I have such a fondness for hand stitching.  Each year our family travels to all of the cemeteries where we have family buried.  At the end of the trip we would always stop and see Aunt Dorothy and many times she served us homemade cookies.  I love you Aunt Dorothy and will miss you very much.

We are spending Easter 2013 in Waukee with the Carlsons.  Our day began with the celebration of Mass. Father are you there?

The completed pantry

We finally have all of the old shelves pulled out and the new ones in and put in order.  Ronnie also built some steps to get to the top.  We are going to love this little addition and it seems like I have been dreaming of it for a long time.

A trip to Gladstone

Ronnie and I have been planning to travel to Gladstone, MO to help Fran do some work in her kitchen.  We cleaned all of the cupboards, painted walls and ceiling and cupboards, installed under cabinet lighting, hung a new ceiling light, put new knobs on all drawers and cupboards and boxed in a cabinet to name a few things.  We were so happy to get the chance to help out and had a great time doing everything.

Puzzles

I have renewed my love for puzzles this winter.  I am just not used to this cold weather and I needed something to help me pass the time.  As you will see I had a little help.

It sure did beat sitting out on the deck.

Working on the Pantry

Ronnie hung a great looking over-the-door basket storage system on the door and is now tearing out all of the old wooden shelves inside so we can put something a little more efficient in.  We sure have a mess here but we are up to the challenge.

The Barrett - Jackson Auction

Ron and I had a great time attending the Barrett-Jackson Auction this past week.  Luckily we had no bidding number.  It is a huge place and we had a geat time.
