Yesterday was not the best day that I have ever had at work. They are giving reviews and everyone is quite unhappy. No one is getting what they deserve just to keep from giving out raises. I was very upset because I felt the review was unjust. I really understand about not giving raises or making them smaller but it should not be at the expense of people's work ethic. Everyone is complaining but I think that I might just do something about this. I checked today with team member services and found that if I take my retirement(pension) the beginning of July it will only make a difference of about $12.00 dollars a month. I would actually be done working by the middle June and then would take vacation until mid July. This will not have any effect on my 401K, which I do not plan to start drawing on at this time. I would still be able to start taking social security in November. I am really serious about doing this. They said they would mail estimates to me today. I think I will make my decision by early next week. Wow I think I am kind of excited but do not want to make a decision too quickly.
God works in mysterious ways.
We had a great day. I was able to cut out another doll quilt. We are having peanut chicken over brown rice, brocolli and cottage cheese salad for dinner. I think I am starved and ready to eat it.
Well that is big news... and a lot to think about. I'll be praying for you to make the best decision for you. It does stink that they are handing out bad reviews instead of just being straightforward and saying money is tight and the raises won't be there. Love you!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I think you should go for it. Like I said on the phone, it's too bad that Target cannot just be forthright and say thanks for doing a great job, sorry there is no money for raises at this time.
ReplyDeleteHow was the peanut chicken?
Wow! What a change of events for you. Like our deacon said a couple of weeks ago - Maybe it is "a God thing." Good luck with your decision.
