Beds are all clean and we were able to dry on the clothes lines today. It was beautiful outside. We went to town and had lunch at Sports Page - Delicious. Spent a little money at Target and then got groceries.

One of the things that we bought at Target was a new seat for my very old bike. Ronnie cleaned it up last week and put a new tube on the back tire. We took a short bike ride today. I still remember how to ride so I was lucky enough not to fall off. :)

The evening is quiet. I do love that once in awhile.

  1. Did you call Target and ask about the extra 10?

  2. I did not. I also tried out the duvet cover that I bought but not what I really like so back it will go.

  3. We have been riding the bikes when it is not too hot out. I got mine out last fall and Jim and Kevin got Kevin's old one cleaned up for Jim to be able to ride. Kevin was pleased to hear that we did add bike helmets to our riding apparel. Jim has been complaining that the seat on Kevin's bike is a little hard. I think we will have to invest in a new one for him.

  4. I will have to say that for what really IS an old bicycle, Mary's bike looks really nice yet and except for having to replace the rear tire inner tube, it's still in great shape. And now it has a "cushy" Schwinn seat too, a Target purchase. Mary wants me to get a new seat for my bicycle too but there really is nothing wrong with the one that's on it.

We bought our bicycles at the Holiday gas station on 2nd Ave South in Fort Dodge in 1969. Let's see, that makes them 40 years old this year!!!!

  5. I still have the bike that I got for my 10th birthday that is still in good shape too. Unfortunately, it is one speed and it is a little too hilly around here for me to be able to ride it anywhere other than up and down our street.

  6. I guess you get the prize for having the oldest bicycle Fran. When you come to visit us in Texas bring it with you. The streets down there are ALL flat. We'll all ride over to McAllen and do some shopping.............
