Well we have recovered from the bee experience and made it through a wonderful weekend.

Friday I went to lunch with two very dear and fun friends - Tina and Cleo. We ate at the Sports Page and I had my usual delicious quesadilla. Of course the leftovers came right home for Ronnie's pleasure. After a great visit and a Miller lite, I headed to Target to pick up some last minute items for the weekend. I also went to HyVee and Pellams for groceries and water respectfully. I did stop at Tobacco Outlet and said hello to my sister, Dorothy, who I have not seen in quite awhile. Friday evening I cleaned fruit and made macaroni salad to take to Cindy and Craig's on Saturday.

Saturday morning we got up and packed to leave for Waukee. We had a great day visiting with our family and even snuck in a couple of geocaches. The first one was quite interesting because it was in a city park but the only entrance was on private property. The man who keeps the park up and loves to talk about it and the geocaches there was outside building a beaver dam. He was an interesting gentleman with a lot of info about the park. The cache was a multi so you had to find two before you found the big one.

Loads of fun for Ronnie and me, Cindy and Katie, Dan, Joe, Sam and Anna. Not so many on the second cache but quick find.

We had a great barbecue and lots of delicious side dishes. Again I have blown the diet. What is wrong with me? Saturday evening we stayed with the Carlsons and Sunday morning we all met again for Mass at St. Boniface and then it was time to say good bye to the Omaha Bucks but we will see them again this next weekend. After they left we had a nice breakfast at Machine Shed (DIET) followed by a fun shopping trip to Target and Kohls. We got back to Moorland around 7 PM last night.
Today is Labor Day and we are spending a quiet day at home.

  1. Nice. It was a great weekend with you here. We love when you visit! It is always too short for us.
It looks like we got a couple of the same pics here. Dad left his for me on my computer. :)

    Love you!
