Our receiver said there was a cache in a mobile home park just 1 ½ mile from us. Found it immediately as it was sitting near a bench in the owner’s front yard. From there we headed west and within a couple of miles along Business 83 highway we scored twice, a micro and a small plastic food storage container. We dropped one travel bug that Dan had sent with us, and picked up one travel bug(TB) plus a nice geocoin from Massachusetts.
The TB had a Lowes #48 (Jimmy Johnson) car as it’s hitchhiker. We’re going to bring it home and drop it in either Iowa or Nebraska. It’s mission is to visit every state in the U.S. and “take a photo in your favorite aisle of Lowe’s Home Improvement store..........”.
I hope everyone is persevering in the cold, nasty Midwest winter weather. Miss you all. Squeezes!

Looks like you had a good time. I would imagine you will be able to find quite a few caches down that way. The weather up here sure has not been very condusive to getting out. Kevin has our GPS in Arizona right now. Him and I were going to go look for one over Christmas vacation, but the weather was not very cooperative!
ReplyDeleteThat is fun how the person wants a picture at Lowes to go with the travel bug...clever!
ReplyDeleteGood thing you have a van to be able to fit all those people in - Mary/Mom/Grandma and you!
