February 4th? You're Kidding!

This morning we awoke to a winter wonderland, an unusual phenomenon in the Valley. For the last couple of days the temperatures having been hovering around the freezing mark, and slightly below during the night. Yesterday a light mist began and continued all day.
As this is written (11:55 AM)the temperature has risen to 40 degrees. Most of the ice is gone already. Yaaayyyy! This was declared a major storm down here.

Transformer in our backyard
Ice on overhead electrical and cable lines
The palm trees are hanging their heads
Chunks of ice falling from the trees
A stiff north wind brings the ol' wind chill down
New grass is saying "brrrrrr"
Our north bedroom window with a new decoration
