Our time with Katie and Isabel

On Thursday July 7, we went to the court house with the Carlson's for Katie's re adoption day.  The judge was so nice to the family and Katie sat on the witness stand with her parents as they testified. It was, of course, all her idea but it brought tears to this grandma's eyes.

After the hearing was over we headed to the Machine Shed for a great breakfast.  When the girls had finished their naps we brought them home to Moorland for a couple of days.  We had a lot of fun.  There were lots of walks and a trip to the Moorland park.  We also spent part of one day at Oleson Park, in Fort Dodge.  We played on the playground equipment and brought our suits for the splash pad and of course, no trip would be complete without a look at the small zoo and the animals. 

Mom and Dad came late Saturday afternoon to pick up the girls.  Sunday morning we went to Mass and then a trip to Target.  It was a great weekend.  We are so happy to share time with our kids and grandkids.  This weekend we are expecting a visit from Dan and D'Lynn and family, followed by a visit from Will.
