The big fourth of July weekend has come and gone. We had lots of company. The Omaha Buck's came on Thursday night and left on Sunday. The Carlson's were here for the day on Saturday. We (except for Ronnie) went to the parade on Saturday morning and watched in the rain. It was not a heavy rain and did not dampen our spirits. I always get a lump in my throat when the trailers of flags pass by and they are playing "God Bless the USA". I saw lots of people that we know and enjoyed each visit. There were a few fun games of bean bag toss in the yard, some as teams and some as individuals. The grand kids seemed to like this as much as the grandma.
We did a lot of eating out and I did very little cooking. Oh, shame on me. We had Tom Thumb's broasted chicken one night and Godfather's pizza another. As I always say "Why don't I lose weight?"
God bless the USA!!!!
This morning we went to Joyce and Dick Silvey's for morning coffee. Joyce made delicious coffee cake and we stayed for a couple of hours. Had a great visit. This afternoon we cleaned a couple of chairs. I got a new Green Machine and was able to get most of the stain out of the arm of my recliner. Think we may have had a pop accident at some time. Looks much better. We also cleaned the chair in our bedroom. Looked like maybe a little food spill on it.

We are headed out to watch a little General Hospital. The excitement coming up is Big Brother starts on Thursday night. Its summer and any new show is exciting.
