Fall is in the air and it brings out the baker in me. Today I made Sweet Milk Bread and Dutch Apple Cake. Hope it is as tasty as it looks.


I did make the cake last year and the recipe is on this blog but the bread is a new recipe. We just tasted the bread and it is yummy.

Sweet Milk Bread
Ingredients for a 1-lb loaf:
5/8 cup water (for Welbilt machine, no extra water is needed)
3/8 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons Red Star brand active dry yeast

Directions:
Place all ingredients in the bread pan, select Light Crust setting, and press Start. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack. Allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
