October is already gone.

In October we spent 2 weeks in Waukee.  Isabel needed a couple of friends to spend time with her when she was not in school because her sitter was off to Texas.  Grandma and Grandpa Buck had the pleasure of being those special friends.  We had a wonderful time and got to know our sweet girl a little better.

We spent the next week in Moorland and then I was off to my quilt retreat.  What fun we had.  I so enjoy my 3 days with my sister, Fran and my dear friend, Joyce.  We rented a townhouse and spent our nights there but our days were spent sewing and getting reacquainted with our sisters of the cloth that join us each year.  The beautiful quilt in the background was the project this year.

The end of the week brought a doctor's appointment and the feast of All Saints.  Of course, Saturday I celebrated my 65th birthday with a visit from Dan and D'Lynn.  We had such a great time and now we look forward to Thanksgiving with our immediate family.
