I have so many things to say about her. She was warm, loving and a very dear friend. She was also one of the best cooks that I ever met.
I still have a letter that she wrote to me to tell me that she had always wanted a daughter and she felt that I was that to her. She brought lots of love into my life.
One of the things that I remember most about Luella is the Christmas baking. We would get together for a whole day and make every kind of candy and cookie that you could think of. We would laugh because our clothes would be covered with flour, cocoa and every other ingredient that we used. We had so much fun just talking about our husbands and gossiping about relatives. I still miss those days.
What a grand lady. I will miss her until we see each other again.
