Oh my goodness, I was certainly going to type something everyday. The best laid plans.
Today I went to work and after my day was through I gave my retirement date to Target. My last day of work will be June 19 and my retirement date is set for July 24. My first retirement check will arrive on August 1.

We had a wonderful weekend. We spent Friday in West Des Moines and watched the Carlson girls for the afternoon. The evening was spent eating out at On the Border and then a nice visit.

On Saturday, we went to Gladstone to spend Fran's birthday with her. Cindy and Katie went with us and Meghan and Peter were there. Of course, we got some shopping in and I found some quilting material at JoAnn's. I spied a sewing machine that Fran and I both loved. It looks like it might come into my life. :) Quilting and more quilting in my retirement years. All of my doll quilts are cut out and tonight I began to sew them together.

We had a nice trip home and now we will have to get back into the routine.
